Music In Advertising
Realizing the potential for a mutually beneficial partnership between brands and the music industry in the early 80s placed me in a unique position to pioneer the union. To this day, I believe this integration enables brands to harness the power of popular culture and resonate with consumers in a novel way. I have extensive experience developing strategies utilizing music as a conduit for communication between brands and their target demographic.
Unique Immersive Experiences
Live events transcend their temporal nature through buildup and post-event effects. These memorable experiences foster social exchange amongst attendees both at the event and via social networking online. The resulting community serves as a platform for conversation and proliferation of information. A brand productively immersed in this music milieu is in an advantageous position to benefit from attendee receptivity and excitement. I founded Marketing Factory, Inc., in 1999 to innovatively connect brands and bands.
Entertainment Properties
My primary objective is to create unique, stimulating, and interactive experiences to entertain audiences in a memorable way. In 1988, I conceived, designed, and launched Iguana’s Showcase Theater and Patio Bar (1,250 capacity) in Tijuana. The venue was the first “south of the border” music club to feature American, European, and Australian artists. Nirvana, The Ramones, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, Jane’s Addiction, and many others performed and enticed young Americans to the venue in droves.
My expertise in branded entertainment properties, in particular, has led me to believe any organization can benefit from the exposure, hype, and appeal a well-conceived property generates. Whether you are a new company seeking publicity or an established brand looking to invigorate your image, we can work together to conceptualize and manage a program specifically tailored to your vision.
